May has seen a welcome rise in temperatures, sunshine, and the feel-good factor. What marvelous timing as we look to wow visitors to “Classics at Prescott” on Sunday 12th May, with the gorgeous salmon pink Morris JE, the much admired and desired carbon fibre bodied prototype. Whatever participants power up the famous hill in, we know the crowds will be mesmerised by the beautiful, spacious, and innovative van that is the Morris JE. See us by The Club House in Paddock J.
Only days later an altogether different audience will be absorbed by the appeal and multiple merits of this carbon-neutral future transport. On 17th and 18th May, The Festival of Sustainable Homes will host the crowd pulling, head turning JE. Environmentally conscientious individuals and businesses will descend on Swindon to learn of the latest sustainable products in the home building arena.
With a 1,000 kg payload, a class-leading 6 cubic metres of load space, and a range of up to 250 miles, they will see first-hand how the Morris JE can deliver for them. A capable, stylish means of distributing their products whilst effectively promoting their business, in a package that meets the growing need for sustainability.
Back at our Hinton base, engineering, verification, and the next prototype development are progressing. In the meantime, we are on course to finalise our manufacturing facility. We look forward to revealing more details soon.
In early March Morris hosted a party of councilors and offices from the Wychavon District Council. All part of the Chairman’s tour to celebrate 50 years of the district council, by visiting companies driving innovation and business across the district. Without exception they all loved the Morris JE, including the Chairman’s Consort who commented enthusiastically, that she hadn’t expected to find a visit to an automotive company so interesting or fun!
A press release followed some ten days ago. This triggered calls from local media, and a live phone interview with Tammy Gooding, presenter of BBC Hereford & Worcester resulted, together with further media interest too. Tammy took up the invitation to see the vans in the flesh (carbon fibre) for herself, visiting Morris the following day!
