Home is where you park it

Raising brand and product awareness is one of our primary objectives. How and where we do this are the big questions. Wherever we’ve exhibited the delectable Morris JE, it has consistently attracted massive interest and created a really positive buzz.

Another consistent reaction, whenever we’ve taken our JE vans to a show is, “that would make an awesome campervan!” There’s no doubt that growing numbers are lured by the freedom offered by the world of campervans. Indeed, we’ve previously shown it with a basic camper van interior mocked up, to demonstrate just how much interior space the JE has compared to other vans of similar exterior dimensions.

Morris has recently collaborated with “Outlandish Campers”, a company with whom we share similar core values – style, functionality and innovation. So, it was a natural progression to exhibit the JE with the Outlandish Campers’ installation camping shows. We opted for the Norfolk Motorhome and Campervan Show (see above) to test the water, and the delightful JE was a huge hit. “Star of the show” raved Peter Vaughan, Editor of What Motorhome Magazine, in his video review of day 1.

Buoyed by this very satisfying success we followed that up with taking a pitch at the Shepton Motorhome and Campervan Show too, some 6 weeks later (see above). Both were in geographic regions where we’d not displayed the Morris before, and the results were very positive all-round, with large numbers of pre-orders and newsletter sign-ups. Further Filming

Mid-August saw the red Morris JE back on location in the suburbs of a well-known city. You’ve guessed it, our People’s Postcode Lottery liveried van was centre stage with more filming for a forthcoming national campaign.

Residents, supporting artists, crew, and passersby were all smitten with the characterful and eye-catching Morris JE. So was the fabulous Davina McCall! (above). Just imagine how the Morris JE would promote your business!

 

Encouraging Industry News

According to recent research, three quarters of UK van drivers now believe a fully electric van would be suitable for their business needs. This is very promising news for the transition to electric vehicle (Source: AM Online). Equally positive news for electric vans is that the Government stated that their Plug-in Van grant (PIVG) is to be extended until “at least” 2027 (Source: What Car?). For vans with a gross vehicle weight of between 2,500 kg and 4,250 kg this is equates to a £5,000 saving.

Also very noteworthy is that the sales of electric vans more than doubled in August 2025 compared to August 2024 (Source: GreenFleet). If any further evidence is required that the shift to electric is happening, last month pure electric cars outsold their petrol counterparts for the first time, see right (Source and Image: WhichEV.net).
