After very successful recent “Fully Charged Live” and Prescott Hillclimb events, the all-new, all- electric Morris JE van will be silently gliding its way across the rolling Cotswolds to Stratford-upon-Avon for the Queen’s Jubilee weekend. And there, we are delighted to be supporting the International Campervan Show at the racecourse over the 4th and 5th June. For this event, we’ve been given a lovely big “pitch” and so we decided that it would be fun to take TWO Morris vans and so we are firing up one of our heritage J Type vans, even if it is powered by petrol! We’ve chosen the fabulous 1955 Post Office Telephone Planning Van, reg RLB 778. Not only does this splendidly demonstrate the design cues of the new JE’s iconic good looks but being fully glazed and with its mobile office layout, it is close to a camper van!

At every show we take the Morris JE to, we are asked… “do you plan to make a Morris JE camper”, so this weekend will be a great chance to really meet the campervan community and to find out what they want, where the market is going and to meet camper van suppliers to understand how the industry works.

We will also be taking our “guess the weight” recycled carbon fibre Morris JE door competition to Stratford for its last event. This has proven to be great fun, encouraging family interaction on the stand and as mentioned last time, it is very educational in explaining how our lightweight materials really help us to achieve our class leading range of 200 to 250 miles and our payload of 1,000 kg in only a 2,500 kg GVW van. So….if you are visiting the International Campervan Show, please come and see us and you will be amazed at just how lightweight the door is. You can submit your estimate of its weight and you’ll have the chance to win the daily prize of some Morris Commercial goodies! Your last chance!

Wherever you are and whatever you are doing, Morris Commercial wishes all its future customers, friends and followers a really fabulous Queen’s Platinum Jubilee long weekend!
